Why Mycelium? Our inspiration of the name Mycelium naturally came from the part of the fungi that is perhaps the least conspicuous but no less important. Mycelium is to fungi what root is to plant but the fungal filaments do more than just providing nutrients, they form a symbiotic network between themselves, their hosts and the surrounding. As we are no scientists, whether this underground network spans the entire forest, is not ours to verify. But it spurs us on our quest to create a carbon-free future, bringing this underground ecosystem of cooperation and mutual benefit to the surface.
